Introduction post: Clary Savage
Warning, this gets rather wordy, due to the lack of pictures etc.
At present (which would mean in 2014) Clary is a 32 year old married woman. However this brief post will introduce you to the pre-blog Clary and detail a little of what happened before I started blogging (which actually is quite a bit).
The then Clary Hansley came to Harrington at 18 along with her cat Flower (who is now dead but has been “replaced” by a cat named Flora who looks practically identical). No one is quite certain what made Clary move all the way out to Harrington, nor do we know much about the place were she came from, all that we know is that she quickly made friends and that she quickly had a reputation going around. Exactly what sort of reputation? Well, that’s what I’m hoping to tell/show you now

Here we have Clary along with the deceased Flower. This is actually taken a bit later after Clary moved to Harrington, she really had no hopes of affording a flower station when she first got to Harrington. Clary is a popularity sim and is very outgoing, she loves having friends over and making friends. Unfortunatley when she first moved to Harrington there wasn’t any community lots and the only real way she had to meet anyone was to hope that someone would pass by. Which took several days. (This might be because I totally forgot to force create some townies…)

This is Clary’s shack/house. Note the doghouse, it was Flowers only bed (well, other than the couch and the bed) for several years until Clary could afford a pillow to keep inside. Poor cat! One of the first people Clary met upon venturing outside after work (at the start of her adventure most of her time was spent sleeping, so she had little time to interact with anyone) was Poppy Enthycia who quickly became a close friend and confidante of Clary.

The two might not look very much alike or appear to have much in common, but amusingly enough they do. Poppy is a bit more family centered than what Clary is and a bit more reserved as well. Still the two get along and Poppy has spent many a night sleeping over at Clary’s after the two stayed up far too late watching old series and movies or having a few drinks after a tough day at work. In short it was pretty rare to see Poppy anywhere but at Clary’s house.

Some nights were sillier than others, sometimes the two would discuss the guys they’d seen and met and work or that they’d seen passing their houses. The unfortunate thing about there not being any proper hangouts is of course the fact that meeting anyone is next to impossible. Poppy would spend many a night bemoaning the lack of proper men and Clary never really had the heart to tell her that she’d seen a fair few men… in her bedroom.

One day after Clary had called Poppy over, Poppy asked if it would be okay if she brought along a friend. Though her friend had several friends of her own, she really wanted to meet Clary after hearing Poppy talk so much about her. Not needing to be asked twice Clary immediatley told Poppy to bring her ower and that she’d make sandwhices to which Poppy had laughed and said that Clary really needed to get better at cooking if she was ever to be a good wife and mother. Clary had been so taken back by the mere thought of marriage and children that she didn’t even notice it when she somehow managed to push one of the plates off the table and onto her lap, just barely managning to grip it before it fell to the floor.
And this was how Clary got to know Pomona who she found to be quite a lot like herself. In fact, Pomona was so alike that Clary had walked in on Pomona and some fellow doing the naughty in Clary’s bed, even though Pomona didn’t even live there! Pomona quickly became the one Clary went to whenever she needed or wanted to talk about guys. Because frankly she had a few… There was Socrates Sweet, Raiden Aspen, Geraint Eldon, Arthur Mungo and a few guys from work that she didn’t really know the name of. Of course, she never told Pomona her full list of people. Besides, Pomona seemed to figure that Clary had something really heavy going with Baptista Savage, she’d bring it up often with Clary who’d time and time again refuse to ever have gone there with him.
In fact, if Pomona had paid some more attention when Clary spoke, she might have noticed that the one who visited most often was actually Geraint Eldon, or at least he was until he suddenly stopped coming. Pomona didn’t notice and though Poppy didn’t really know what was going on between them she did ask Clary why he never seemed to be around anymore. Clary had simply shrugged and said they had a falling out.
Of course a few months later the reason became more visible as Clary’s stomach grew and grew. Upon realising what was going on Poppy had stopped visiting her friend for awhile before finally visiting to urge her to let him know. After all, it was only fair of her to do so, right? Clary relented and told him… Over the phone. He didn’t believe her so they ended up deciding to have a paternity test when the baby was born.
Her friends didn’t really understand, well Poppy did but she viewed children as a miracle something Clary was inclined to disagree wtih. However what Clary had never told anyone was that she’d miscarried, she’d miscarried several times before. The first time had been at 17 back home, which was part of the reason why she moved. However after arriving at Harrington she had several more, she estimated it to be around 5, she couldn’t be sure about the last one, but she was pretty certain that too had been a miscarriage. As far as father’s went she was farily certain at least one or two had been Raiden’s or Geraints, the others she was not so sure about.
And so, Clary came to the conclusion that she was going to keep the baby and several months later Jared Hansley was born. His father, Geraint, never really kept in touch with neither Clary nor Jared after Jared’s birth and though Clary has told Jared who his father is she’s never really made an effort to get back in touch.
Things calmed down again and Jared turned 3, during the three years Clary’d lost touch with just about everyone except Pomona and Poppy, and though she never said anything, she was desperate for some adult male company. Which was why when Raiden suddenly passed by one day she couldn’t help inviting him in. She began inviting him over and it didn’t take long before Pomona began bringing some men over as well, clearly seeing that Clary was looking for “company”.
However none of the men really matched Raiden with his ambitious and stubborn streak and Clary found herself inviting him over day after day. The one week were he was out of town Clary felt at a loss of what to do until Baptista Savage walked by. She invited him over, and to put it simply, one thing led to that which lasted for a week. Raiden came back and despite her quickie with Baptista, Clary leaped at the chance to invite him to live with her, an invitation he gladly accepted. After all, they’d never said anything about actually being together up until then, right?
Months went by and Clary began feeling more and more naseous, eventually it got so bad she couldn’t stand it anymore and she went to the doctor who promptly told her she was pregnant. In shock and in wonder Clary spent the next day staring at the wall of her office down at the grocery market she’d opened shortly after Jared was born.
While she contemplated how to tell Raiden that she was pregnant, and that the child wasn’t his, “fate” struck again and she miscarried. She never told Raiden nor Baptista, continuing her life as best as she could and focusing on work.
It was shortly after that Raiden asked her to marry him and needing to feel safe, Clary agreed. Raiden wanted a quick wedding and Clary didn’t see any reason not to do so. However as the wedding came closer Raiden got more and more posessive, glaring whenever Clary had a male friend over. It annoyed her, but it also worried her, did he know?
The night before the wedding everything exploded, Clary had been at her hen party not too sober and while there she’d come over Arthur Mungo, a frequent fling from the earlier days. One thing had led to another and before she knew it she was sitting on his lap and making out. Of course, that was the precise moment that Raiden had come home.
He’d ordered everyone to leave and they’d fought for hours. Luckily Jared had been over at Poppy’s who hadn’t been able to come because she had to leave very early the next morning for a plane.
Eventually Clary had gotten fed up with it all, never getting any peace from his nagging and told him to cancel the wedding. Raiden had refused, saying something about it making him look bad in the eyes of the company CEO. They’d fought more and Clary had gone to bed, thinking the wedding would surely be canceled.

Well, she was wrong, because Raiden still wanted to go through with it and apologized profusely for his actions the previous night. Since he’d never done more than yell and argue with her, Clary found herself relenting, if for no one but for Jared who she knew longed for a dad and who she knew liked Raiden. They’d walked up the aisle and she’d stood under the arch with Raiden and looked around. Poppy was there, Pomona was there, Celia, a friend of Raiden was there and several of her friends/flings were there too. Suddenly she saw Baptista and felt herself go cold. She could hear muttering and someone asking her for something and before she knew it she was withdrawing and running down the aisle.
Everyone stood up and Arthur even reached out to her, but Clary ran past him and right over to Baptista who she hugged. Raiden looked livid for a moment before he’d turned and briskly walked off, quickly followed by his friend, Celia Garnet.
For a moment all Clary could do was stare at Baptista. Then suddenly she dragged him with her up to the arch, looked at him and simply said “Do you want to marry me?”. He’d looked at her for a second then to everyone’s surprise, including Clary though she was pleasantly surprised, he’d said yes and Clary found herself married after all.
Not long after she discovered she was pregnant and she knew there was no doubt about it and that it had to be Raidens. She contemplated abortion and adoption, but eventually she found herself avoiding anything that had to do with either of the options. She told Poppy and Pomona who both told her they’d support her no matter what and she told Baptista who said said the same thing.
Several months later Jaden Savage was born, Clary has seen little of Raiden since then and rumour is that he’s nursing his ego and licking his wounds. Though evil tongues also say he’s been checking out the rest of the female population.
Notes: I’m sorry for the big wall of text, I just really didn’t have any pictures but I felt I needed to let you know what happened anyway, after all it’s pretty huge things to leave out. And yes, Clary has had a total fo 6 miscarriages… Poor woman.
If you are wondering about the couches in the wedding picture, I have this to say; poor man’s wedding. It was the cheapest thing and it did the trick, no? (this was in Clary’s backyard btw.)
Raiden might seem a bit like a stupid idiot, and maybe he is. Regardless I’m planning on moving him and Celia Garnet (they’re strictly platonic though) together so we’ll get a chance to see things from his view as well. I’m also going to move some other sims together like Socrates and Arthur. Oh and you’ll get to see who some of these guys are later, I promise!
Here’s a picture of the wedding reception and if you click it, it will take you to another picture were the names have been added on. Might not tell you much now though
Also, see the matching couple in blue? It’s a sign I say!

Wow, Clary’s had a lot of drama in her life. So many men and so many miscarriages. Even if kids aren’t in a woman’s plans, a miscarriage has still got to be a difficult thing to deal with.
Can’t wait to read more!

Clara – Yeah, Clary started out as this nice hippy-like woman with a nice cat and all and then BAM! Drama! And yeah, it felt pretty awful, especially during the later miscarriages. The first one was a shock since I didn’t even know she was pregnant then, the later ones though… I felt so incredibly bad for her, she might not be a kid lover, but she does care a lot for the ones she does have. Thanks for the kind words!
The Lunar Fox – Yeah, Clary’s turning out to be a LOT of fun xD And from what I’ve seen she shows no signs of slowing down or minimizing the drama. The wedding thing was kind of fun, up until she stood at the arch she had no want to get married – to anyone – but she did have a want to buy something and since she needed wedding stuff that want rolled away and TADA! She had a want to get married to Baptista just after she rushed away from the arch xD
Dang Clary! What a character! Haha, I love it. She got married to someone else at her wedding. Well, at least nothing was wasted.
