Introduction post: Poppy and Pomona
Before I begin I should probably let you know that this is the last “introduction post” that I plan on doing. I am adding Raiden and some other sims, but the main point of these introduction posts were to show you what went on while I wasn’t taking pictures. With this post that’s pretty much done and we can move over to more “current” stuff. I still have to figure how I’m going to split it all up, it all happened during the round of Poppy and Pomona, but a LOT of stuff went on so I might split it into three posts. (I wasn’t playing my default two/three day rotation) But I’ll see what feels best when I actually get there. For now, let me introduce you to Poppy and Pomona.
Poppy and Pomona are both townies, I didn’t make them and they “willingly” became friends with Clary (who they can blame for getting them into this madness). Poppy is now 29 and a family oriented sim, while Pomona is romance oriented and 28 years old.
We’ll start off with the moment that made me re-think blogging, it might not tell you a whole lot now, but it will eventually, I promise. Either way, I’d just built Poppy and Pomona a house (which looks quite a bit like Clary’s) and the first person to stop by was Raiden. Now, Raiden and Pomona did get along quite nicely although I don’t really think they had a lot of chemistry between them. Poppy does have two bolts with him, however she severely dislikes him (I think it began as an argument over at Clary’s and it has now evolved into them becoming enemies). Generally whenever Raiden came over (this is not the only time he’s dropped by) Poppy would quickly busy herself with something else, and since there’s usually quite a lot of sims on the lot, mainly men, she often ended up watching TV with them.
Not to say that Poppy doesn’t have a social life of her own, it’s just that it’s just that, social, nothing more nothing less. She and Arthur has bonded over their love for dancing in music videos for example (Arthur is a frequent visitor both at Clary’s house and at Pomona’s). In fact, they’ve formed a friendship of shorts, although it really doesn’t remove the awkward factor for Poppy when he struts out of Pomona’s bedroom wearing only his boxers. Still, she likes him better than Raiden, that’s for sure.
This is one of those rare moments were Raiden and Poppy are not at each other’s throats, Arthur are friends with them both so maybe he talked them into “playing nice” while Pomona plays “nice” with Socrates in her bedroom. (I swear, the house is constantly filled with people, and yes, both Clary and Pomona seem to go for the same “type”, a recipe for trouble? Maybe…)
I have to admit I’m sort of waiting to see if ACR will ever kick in for Poppy and Raiden, I doubt it’d go well, but because Arthur constantly makes them sit next to each other (both want to eat/watch tv/hang out with Arthur all the time) they’re bound to start acting civilly with one another at least!
However, Pomona with her frequent “encounters” was bound to end up like this at some point. I’ll admit to being quite surprised as well when she suddenly popped (I installed Monique’s child support mod afterwards, so now I’m usually not taken by as much surprise) after waking up. Considering the fact that this was her first pregnancy, it was surprisingly easy although she did end up with her face in her food near the end of it. She also rolled a fear of having children, go figure, after she reached her third trimester.
Who is Pomona talking with? Clary of course! Does Clary have the faintest clue about Pomona’s sudden “roundness”? Of course not! Why doesn’t Clary know? Because my dear friends, the child is Raiden’s… Oh yeah… I smell drama and intrigue a mile away. And like I said, Pomona and Clary like the same men… Poppy is completely unaware, in fact she really had no clue how many people Pomona had been with until she asked Pomona who the dad was and Pomona ended up listing some five different men as potential sires… Poppy loves her friends, but unlike most family sims (who tend to go nuts with ACR until they settle down) she’s so far stayed FAR away from all men. And no, she’s not lesbian.
Interesting note; Pomona works nights, so she often invites her guys over during the day, hence Poppy never really knew how many men Pomona had been with. But more importantly, Poppy only really knows about Raiden and Arthur since she ended up going to bed before Socrates emerged from Pomona’s room… Why is this important? You’ll see, I promise.
Note: Poppy is actually the principal of Harrington School, I have several pictures of it, but I’m not sure if I’m going to post it before the big madness that lies ahead, during or after. It’s still in testing (which I claim as my reason for not updating Poppy’s wardrobe to something more suitable for a woman who’s profession is to teach children!) and there’s only really one child that’s old enough to attend, but they had enough funds in the government fund box and I really wanted a school dammit!
Also, since I forgot to add it to the main part of the post; Pomona’s first child was a boy named Marius, he’s currently three years old 
Well, I’m sure the high school students would appreciate Poppy’s outfit!
Good to get a look at Poppy and Pomona. It would be interesting if Poppy does eventually hook up with Raiden, via ACR. An enemies turned lovers sort of situation. I don’t think I’ve ever had that in my game.

I know Jaquenetta is pretty pleased with it at any rate!
I’m very curious as to what will happen with the two of them, right now they’ve managed to get their LTR and STR scores to 0… Time will tell whether they’ll continue arguing or try the friendship route… I haven’t had that sort of thing in my game either, so I’m sort of thrilled to see it happening
I’m liking this group of characters. They all sound very interesting. Anyone who would wear that outfit as a school principle has to be a heck of a character. XD

I’m really liking them too, the only thing I’ve had to do to make things happen is keeping tabs on wants and adding some depth. It’s like sitting back and watching a movie! And yes, Poppy is an interesting woman too, I’m starting to get a feel of her now and I’m looking forward to seeing her react to everything that’s going to happen
