Rocking the Boat pt. 1

Of course… There might just be a reason for that… You can’t really fault Pomona, she doesn’t know about the engagement yet, but still, you’d have thought that she’d have noticed the obvious bond between Socrates and Poppy, no? But maybe Poppy will be okay with it, after all it’s not like they are…

… Oh never mind, Poppy might not mind tender embraces, but somehow I sincerely doubt she’ll be too pleased at seeing her fiance engaged with another woman, even if that woman is her best friend. Sure, friends share – hair brushes, soda cans and meals – not boyfriends and certainly not fianceés!

Maybe Socrates wouldn’t have been so enaged if he’d known that he isn’t the only one longing to get a grip around Pomona’s heart. You’d have thought he would have learned a thing or two after watching Clary and seeing how she acted, but alas, he hasn’t and walks home just as Arthur Mungo drops by to greet Pomona.

It doesn’t take very long for Pomona to drag Arthur with her into the bedroom, clearly the girl has quite a lot of stamina! Although after Arthur she feels quite tired and ends up curling up to sleep, Arthur on the other hand gets up.

And watches the TV, in fact, this particular image is rather common in the Enthycia-Gale household. Poppy comes home from a late night of working, Arthur watches the telly and Pomona sleeps. Unless Marius cries, then she tends to him, but mostly she just sleeps.

Poppy’s thoughts are so wrapped up in her promotion that she doesn’t notice the slightly curious glance that Arthur shoots her way, as if trying to decide whether or not to tell her something.

As she walks to her bedroom she lifts her hand to wave slightly, giving him a small smile. “Hey Artie,” she says before walking on and Arthur finds himself smiling back before changing the channel, trying to distract his mind by watching various women dance around in skimpy outfits on the simdance channel.

After awhile Poppy comes back, still too giddy about her promotion she sits down on the couch. She’s not sure why, but she’s never sat down directly beside Arthur before, it just seems odd as if her body is warning her off something. They talk about nonsense such as the weather, and while they talk she thinks Arthur looks thoughtful and worried, but he quickly changes the subject whenever she brings it up and eventually she gets up and goes to the bathroom.
Oh wow, what a soap opera! I think this house is headed for some fireworks soon or possibly a total implosion. All that partner swapping cannot end well!

It very much is a soap opera! You’ve no idea how shocked I was when I saw Pomona getting her claws into Socrates. It’s one thing that Clary was there – that was BEFORE she met Poppy, but Pomona’s been best friends with Poppy WAY longer than she’s known Socrates! *sigh* Somehow it seems obvious to me why Clary and Pomona like each other so much… They’re twins separated at birth!
I so love your pictures. I don’t know, there’s something very vivid about them that really pulls me in.
As for Poppy and Pomona.. yikes! I really like these two even if they are both a little messed up. Pomona really rocks those pigtails.

Thank you
I don’t really do anything except aim and try to keep non-play related stuff away from the camera (i.e. the acr-box). But thank you!
Yikes is right, and it has to get worse before it gets better, no? XD I really like the pigtails on Pomona for some reason, can’t bring myself to change it
