Rocking the Boat pt. 1

However neither Poppy nor Celia are so into their dancing that they don’t notice it when Arthur and Pomona try to sneak off for some “alone time”. If Poppy had eyes at the back of her head she might have seen the rather startled look that Celia has on her face as she watches Pomona walk off. Celia has heard a lot about Pomona, she’s also heard a lot about Poppy, in fact she knows a lot about Clary too. What’s perhaps more interesting is that Celia happens to know someone who knows both Clary and Pomona rather intimately and who knows a thing or two that Poppy might be interested to know.

Then again, it is also possible that Poppy is picking up on the odd vibes around the house. The fact that Pomona frequently distracts herself whenever Socrates is brought up as a subject might have been a clue, the fact that Arthur has often looked at her with pity in his eyes when he sees her with Socrates is another. It doesn’t help that she’s getting the same vibe off Celia, who she just met. Poppy thinks she’s feeling a headache coming on, and Marius’ screams from the nursery does not help.

Luckily, Pomona quickly moves from Arthur’s arms and swiftly over to Marius’ crib as if sensing that Poppy is feeling down. Scooping him up into her arms she snuggles Marius’ close, ignoring all the other difficulties she’ll have to deal with later.

Notes: I did not intend for Poppy to match the interior of the bedroom, I really had no plans about that at all. Also – Pomona’s bedroom is the only bedroom with a big bed so yeah… Ewwww… I feel really bad for Poppy, I watched the Pomona/Socrates thing with my jaw hanging open. Pomona hadn’t been spending much time with Socrates lately either, so you’d have thought that he’d have started to get over her, clearly not.

And Arthur does come over all of the time, he never really leaves and he did follow Poppy around to talk to her, which I found sweet, though Artie? Talking to a woman in the bathroom just after she’s done you-know-what when you’re not a) engaged to her or b) related to her, is rather creepy. (Personally I find it creepy anyway but…)

As for Celia, she happens to be best-buddies with a certain male blonde :P

Oh wow, what a soap opera! I think this house is headed for some fireworks soon or possibly a total implosion. All that partner swapping cannot end well!

It very much is a soap opera! You’ve no idea how shocked I was when I saw Pomona getting her claws into Socrates. It’s one thing that Clary was there – that was BEFORE she met Poppy, but Pomona’s been best friends with Poppy WAY longer than she’s known Socrates! *sigh* Somehow it seems obvious to me why Clary and Pomona like each other so much… They’re twins separated at birth!

I so love your pictures. I don’t know, there’s something very vivid about them that really pulls me in.

As for Poppy and Pomona.. yikes! I really like these two even if they are both a little messed up. Pomona really rocks those pigtails.

Thank you :) I don’t really do anything except aim and try to keep non-play related stuff away from the camera (i.e. the acr-box). But thank you!

Yikes is right, and it has to get worse before it gets better, no? XD I really like the pigtails on Pomona for some reason, can’t bring myself to change it :P
