Regulations

This is still in the works, and will be implemented slowly as I play and see what works and doesn’t work for me.

Careers:

For my careers, I pretty much follow Sullivan Sims‘ system to the dot, I’ve pretty much only deleted the careers I don’t have (the custom ones) and replaced them with the ones I do have, beyond that it’s pretty much identical to Carla’s, so go clicky the link!

Career Caps

Like Carla I do use Career Caps, though I base mine slightly on the Build A City Challenge, slightly on Sullivan Sims’s system and quite a bit on what makes sense to me. If I get around to making a stat page, I might go into detail about current career openings, but for now I’ll just list my/BACC Rules/Sullivan’s requirements as far as Careers goes:

Adventurer – Requirement; Access to vacation ‘hoods + museum of some sort
Artist – Requirement; Some form of gallery/museum is needed.
Athletic – Requirement; There’s some sort of sport/athletic-related community lot in the ‘hood (sim-owned or community owned, doesn’t matter, can be a gym)
Business – Requirement; at least one sim-owned business open.
City Planner – Requirement; at least one sim must work in the Politics Career.
Dance – Requirement; There’s some sort of sport/athletic-related community lot in the ‘hood (sim-owned or community owned, doesn’t matter, can be a gym)
Education – Requirement; a school/university.
Entertainment – Requirement; there must be some sort of venue in the ‘hood focused on entertainment (doesn’t need to be player owned, does need musical instruments/stand-up microphone/stage/etc).
Intelligence – Requirement; At at least 1 sim working in Law Enforcement, Military and Crime.
Law – Requirement; At least 1 sim working in Law Enforcement and Crime.
Natural Science – Requirement; some sort of university-related lot.
Oceanography – Requirement; there must be some large body of water nearby (pond or sea, NOT a pool xD)
Science – Requirement; some sort of university-related lot.
Show Business – Requirement; there must be some sort of venue in the ‘hood focused on entertainment (doesn’t need to be sim-owned, does need musical instruments/stand-up microphone/stage/etc).
Slacker – Requirement; some form of club/pub/etc must have opened (sim-owned or community owned, doesn’t matter)You might notice that there are some things that are lacking (like needing a music hall for Music), and that’s partly because I’m too lazy to add it, partly because it’d take away some of the fun for me if everything had requirements and partly because there has to be some jobs that aren’t requiring something.
